Job Summary

Own the deployment data engine that turns real-world robot behavior into high-quality training signal, improving model performance over time. Lead labeling schemas, data/episode instrumentation, quality bar, and the full “rest of the loop” including telemetry capture, annotation pipelines, observability, and remote teleoperation data. Location: Redwood City
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Product Management
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Decide what data to capture and define what every robot logs, ensuring fleet-wide instrumentation for diagnosing failures.
  • •Own the labeling schema and its evolution over time, including definitions, audits, and decisions about changes to avoid stale-schema pipelines.
  • •Define and maintain the labeling quality bar, including measurement/auditing, vendor vs in-house work, and tradeoffs between coverage and quality.
  • •Own the rest of the loop: episode/telemetry capture, annotation pipelines, model-behavior observability, and remote teleoperation data for recovery and intervention.
  • •Own internal and operator/customer-facing platforms and tooling, including UX, labeling/visualization, model evaluation tooling, task management, monitoring, interventions, escalation, and trust-building for customers.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of product management experience owning labeling, annotation, or training data pipelines for ML systems end to end (capture through to what a model trains on).
  • •Familiarity with ML infrastructure and how training pipelines consume the produced data.
  • •Experience designing and building tooling from scratch for both technical users and non-technical people performing time-sensitive work on real sites.
  • •Comfort with systems that fail physically in messy environments where issues are rarely reproducible from a laptop.
  • •Willingness to travel to customer sites regularly to be useful in the real operational context.
