Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide PM leadership and oversight for substations and/or transmission line projects, ensuring design, budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, risk contingencies, and contractual delivery expectations are met.
  • •Serve as project management subject matter expert, ensuring corporate compliance with internal project management standards and addressing project management challenges.
  • •Support business unit and regional manager recruiting plans, including interviewing, recommendations, and retention monitoring.
  • •Oversee employee review processes for direct reports and support mentoring for new PMs; guide assigned staff performance and leadership.
  • •Manage project lifecycle execution: planning/startup, execution, reporting, closeout; maintain required project documentation (risk, PM plan, quality, safety, communications) and lead kick-off meetings and problem reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field in the Power & Energy market (or equivalent experience). PMP certification considered.
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering or project management within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •Minimum 5 years of applicable industry experience working/providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc.
  • •Minimum 5 years leading engineering and/or construction teams for medium/large-scale electrical utility clients for medium to extra high voltage power delivery projects.
  • •Knowledge of project management processes and tools including contract management, earned value management, change/risk management, and schedule management with CPM schedules such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.
