Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Snowflake’s global government affairs strategy and set annual priorities with cross-functional leaders to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • •Lead a global team and manage an external portfolio of retained lobbyists, trade associations, and advisory firms across three geographies.
  • •Act as GA lead on 2–3 major regulated pursuits, providing political context and stakeholder access alongside Sales; lead Regulated Partner Business Development for opportunities in national security, defense, the intelligence community, and sovereign cloud.
  • •Direct the retained federal lobbying program by setting the advocacy agenda, managing external lobbyist performance, and personally conducting advocacy on critical matters.
  • •Track and prioritize policy developments across AI governance, data sovereignty, federal IT procurement, and cloud security; represent Snowflake at major government and technology policy forums and produce position papers and briefings; own the Ambassador Program and political contribution/event sponsorship strategy.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 324,000 - 425,200 annually

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years across two or more of government, government affairs, public policy, national security, strategic business development, or international affairs, with meaningful technology-sector focus.
  • •Global government affairs expertise including US federal legislative/regulatory processes, EU digital policy (AI Act, Data Act, GDPR), and at least one additional major jurisdiction (UK, APAC, or Middle East).
  • •Senior-level international network across US federal government (Congress, Executive Branch, DoD/IC) plus at least one major international market and key industry/policy organizations.
  • •Proven strategic business development track record originating and shaping long-cycle opportunities in regulated markets (sovereign cloud, national security, defense), translating policy into deal implications alongside Sales.
  • •People leadership experience leading and holding accountable a geographically dispersed senior team in a matrixed organization while remaining hands-on.
  • •Lobbyist and external portfolio management experience directing retained lobbyists, trade associations, and advisory firms with performance management and budget accountability.
