Job Summary

Lead technical, administrative, and commercial project management for complex Power Delivery infrastructure projects spanning electric transmission, distribution, and substations. Own planning through closeout—proposal development, engineering coordination, procurement support, construction execution, schedule/cost control, reporting, and audits—while ensuring client and WSP standards are met. Guide stakeholder communications, support pursuit/startup decisions, manage risk and performance, and mentor project leaders across a regulated utility environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide Power Delivery project management leadership for large, complex utility infrastructure projects, including budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, earned value, hours/expenses, risks/contingencies, and contractual compliance.
•Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies with utility clients, internal leadership, engineering teams, contractors, and regulators; deliver timely status, risk, and performance reporting.
•Support pursuit, initiation, and project startup activities including Go/No-Go decisions, contract and commercial reviews, pricing strategies, delivery risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
•Lead technical and constructability reviews, enforce QA/QC and adherence to utility standards and WSP project quality plans, and provide technical input to multi-disciplinary teams.
•Mentor and coach project managers, engineers, and support staff; manage performance leadership, governance/compliance for project documentation, client communications, and project closeout activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or related technical discipline, or equivalent A/E/C, utility, EPC, or power delivery consulting experience.
•15+ years of progressive post-education experience in project management or senior technical leadership, preferably in power delivery (T&D, substations) and utility capital projects.
•Strong understanding of the full project delivery lifecycle in A/E/C and utility industries, including proposal development through engineering coordination, construction execution, commissioning, and closeout.
•Advanced analytical, organizational, and business/commercial acumen for integrating project controls, financial performance, risk management, and client objectives.
•Advanced proficiency in critical thinking, risk-based decision-making, and problem-solving to optimize schedule and cost outcomes for Power Delivery projects.
