Job Summary

Deliver safe, engaging, and polished underwater mermaid performances and guest-facing interactions at Atlantis Dubai. Perform in shows, meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, themed events, and private/promotional activities while maintaining strong watermanship, breath-hold ability, and show readiness. Support Mermaid trainees when assigned, follow safety and emergency protocols, maintain equipment and costume standards, and contribute to a positive, high-performing Mermaid team environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform as a Mermaid across underwater shows, meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, dry experiences, themed events, private experiences, and promotional activities as assigned.
•Deliver memorable guest experiences while maintaining Mermaid program standards for character, presentation, safety, and performance quality.
•Maintain consistent show readiness (appearance, makeup, costume, tail, accessories, props, hydration, warm-up) and participate in rehearsals, training, safety drills, and show reviews.
•Learn and maintain Mermaid choreography and related scripts/standards (e.g., trident handling, Dolphin Meet and Greet script, dry activation standards) and complete required freediving and safety training.
•Support team operations by maintaining tails/costumes/equipment, reporting issues and supply usage through proper channels, following emergency protocols, maintaining required logs, and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Requirements

•1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Mermaid performance, aquatic performance, guest entertainment, synchronized swimming, freediving, diving, dance, theatre, character performance, or comparable experience preferred.
•Certified freediver with a recognized freediving certification and/or recognized Mermaid certification, or willingness and ability to complete required training.
•Must successfully complete the annual departmental swim test.
•Ability to hold breath underwater for extended periods in line with operational and safety requirements.
•Must be able to speak English confidently and clearly for guest-facing programs and communication.
