Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist herd technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to support animal welfare.
  • •Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
  • •Move and process animals (including piglet procedures such as injecting medications, castrating, docking tails, and ear notching) and maintain efficient animal flows.
  • •Sanitize and wash farm areas using high-pressure equipment and support barn/office cleanliness and laundry duties.
  • •Maintain accurate production information and department records, follow SOPs/production manuals/training guides, and comply with animal welfare, environmental, safety, and biosecurity procedures.
