Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform advanced mechanical repairs, including engine performance, drivability, and electrical systems.
  • •Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering, suspension, complete 4-wheel alignments, and service heating and air conditioning systems.
  • •Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and maintain shop cleanliness per 5S principles.
  • •Consult with customers on repair needs, explain services performed, and ensure clear communication.
  • •Review and close repair orders accurately and manage parts inventory by receiving shipments and maintaining stocking levels.

Salary: USD 24.6 - 48 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Complete New Associate Orientation Training – Operations and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates.
  • •Maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2) where required by State/Local law.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately.
  • •Capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • •Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods; flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
