Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
  • •Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol; avoid omissions or additions.
  • •Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation; maintain professional demeanor.
  • •Remain calm on calls, including emergency situations such as 911 calls, and stay available during work hours.
  • •Follow client instructions and protocols to ensure client expectations are met, while protecting LEP participants.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Flemish and English with strong cultural competency.
  • •Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship required now or in the future.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old.
  • •Ability to read and write the requested languages; highly preferred.
  • •Dedicated quiet home workspace and reliable high-speed internet (minimum 5 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up).
