Job Summary

Assist in managing survey projects in the Geomatics department, overseeing office tasks and coordinating field crews across Valhalla, NY and Lawrenceville, NJ. You’ll help produce survey plans, QA/QC field data, mentor staff, and ensure accurate boundary determinations while collaborating with multiple project teams in transportation, environmental, commercial, industrial, institutional, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee the production of survey plans and other deliverables, with guidance from PLS, and mentor staff including Field Staff, Survey Technicians, and CAD Drafters.
•Assist with scheduling and setting up field crews and update project tracking software.
•Perform initial QA/QC reviews of work performed by Survey Technicians and CAD drafters and prepare survey reports.
•Process and review survey data, make boundary placement determinations and adjustments to survey control.
•Represent WSP professionally in client communications and assist in mentoring new staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics (Land Surveying Related Fields) with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of land surveying experience in lieu of a degree.
•Prior experience in both the field and office performing a variety of different types of survey work.
•Posses experience or training in the use of drafting programs and survey data processing programs
•Prior experience with performing boundary research, compilations, and determinations,
•Prior experience processing and adjusting survey control
