Job Summary

Lead land surveying field work for Northeast projects as part of a Land Surveying and Geospatial team. Serve as an experienced point of contact on-site, mentoring Jr Party Chiefs and Instrument Operators while managing independent survey execution. Work across diverse sectors (commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, energy), using survey instruments to collect data, prepare notes and sketches, download field data, and produce reports and summaries.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform survey field work as an experienced lead, independently or while mentoring Jr Party Chiefs and Instrument Operators.
•Manage day-to-day coordination with office staff and the management team.
•Execute a wide variety of survey project work across multiple sectors and ensure field surveys are completed at project sites.
•Use survey instruments and equipment to obtain measurements, prepare clear notes and sketches, and download daily field data.
•Represent WSP professionally in the field and provide reports and summaries when needed, while adhering to ethical and safety policies.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED, with preferred higher education in land surveying or an associated field.
•7+ years of experience in land surveying and geospatial services (or an associated field).
•Advanced knowledge of survey equipment, practices, and procedures.
•Valid state driver’s license and successful completion of WSP’s Motor Vehicle and Background screening.
•Interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently or in a team, and commitment to safety and workplace policies.
