Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute design concepts from prototype through bulk production while maintaining fit, quality, construction, and measurement consistency and assessing feasibility and risks.
  • •Develop, modify, and evaluate patterns (including grading and flat sketching) and translate design intent into technical direction for vendors and production teams.
  • •Create, maintain, and update Tech Packs, measurement specifications, pattern corrections, and technical documentation in required systems.
  • •Conduct fit sessions with live models to identify root causes and implement pattern and specification updates.
  • •Partner with vendors and internal teams to oversee execution across sample room and bulk production environments, manage technical milestones, and provide ongoing support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years combined education, pattern-making training, and work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • •Minimum 7 years executing design concepts into prototypes and bulk production.
  • •Apparel industry experience focused on women’s fit development for non-denim and denim woven products (bottoms, jackets, shirts, dresses, overalls).
  • •Experience with manual and computer-aided patternmaking and grading, with proficiency in PLM and Excel and Gerber Fit development (CLO preferred).
  • •Ability to create Tech Packs and measurement specifications, and flexibly collaborate as tools and processes evolve.
