Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate SBM machine processing systems to meet daily production requirements and process guidelines.
  • •Work with the shift to maximize production and review daily performance to meet efficiency goals.
  • •Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and troubleshoot processing problems (e.g., bubbles, strings, contamination, holes).
  • •Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and report safety concerns; shut down equipment presenting hazards.
  • •Maintain the Food Safety Program (GMP) and coordinate with maintenance staff to correct mechanical issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Verify quality of finished product by measuring/visual inspection and respond to problems per control plan.
  • •Demonstrate working knowledge of dryers and react to “out of control” conditions.
  • •Follow safety procedures including LOTO, safety block usage, proper propane torch usage, and safety latch door opening for second safety.
  • •Verify processing temperatures, injection pressures, cycle time variation, and other parameters against process sheets and set points.
  • •Complete daily PM paperwork and perform safe purging and burn out procedures (gates and sprue bushing).
