Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to eligible children and youth of service members
  • •Provide training and health and wellness presentations to DoDEA staff, schools, and community programs
  • •Maintain counselor activity data through smartphone or web applications with confidentiality
  • •Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and DoD points of contact to ensure accessibility
  • •Coordinate with installation POCs to address installation and school needs and participate in supervision and program governance
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related field from an accredited program
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a state, DC, US territory or Commonwealth
  • •Ability to engage with military members or children and respond to emergent situations on a military installation or in school settings
  • •Must be able to travel to Cuba for a period of 6 months to a year and able to prove US Citizenship
  • •Fluency in English and ability to develop trusting, helping relationships
