Job Summary

Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere virtualization environments, including ESXi, vCenter Server, clusters, HA/DRS, and vMotion. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through VMware HA/DRS/FT and Site Recovery Manager planning, testing, and support. Configure storage and networking (VMFS/NFS/vSAN, SAN/NAS, vDS/VLANs), monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain documentation for modernization and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter Server, and cluster components such as resource pools, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
•Manage VM provisioning, templates, snapshots, and lifecycle management, including performing host upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.
•Configure and manage high-availability and disaster recovery capabilities (VMware HA, DRS, FT) and support SRM if applicable, including disaster recovery planning and testing.
•Configure and manage storage and networking components (VMFS, NFS, vSAN preferred; SAN/NAS; vDS and VLANs) and collaborate with storage/network teams for performance optimization.
•Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues as L2/L3 support, perform root cause analysis, resolve incidents, maintain documentation, and support audit/compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

•5–10+ years of experience in VMware administration.
•Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (6.x/7.x/8.x), ESXi host management, and vCenter Server.
•Experience with HA, DRS, and vMotion, plus patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
•Working knowledge of storage technologies (SAN/NAS, vSAN preferred) and VM provisioning lifecycle (templates, snapshots).
•Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including exposure to Windows/Linux VM environments.
