Key Responsibilities

  • •Review designs and technical submissions to minimize errors, rework, and associated project costs.
  • •Ensure design deliverables align with the construction sequence to support timely completion and efficient resource use.
  • •Assess proposed design changes during construction and identify technically acceptable solutions without adversely affecting the original design.
  • •Coordinate technical solutions across disciplines to resolve interfaces and clashes, including review/approval of shop drawings and as-built drawings.
  • •Maintain compliance by reviewing design documents against Qatar standards/codes (e.g., QHDM, QTM, WZTMG, QCS) and applicable international codes, and support approvals via the QDRS system.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • •Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience, including at least 7 years on large construction projects involving pump stations and multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • •Demonstrable experience in sewage projects (construction, refurbishment, upgrading, treatment works, and pump stations) or equivalent construction projects.
  • •Professional qualification record and highly desirable Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution.
  • •Proficiency in design software and strong understanding of design review/technical design management, including shop drawings and as-built review.
