Job Summary

Oversee end-to-end installation of residential solar batteries, working with PV and battery installation crews to ensure safe, compliant work with local and NEC code. Lead design review, pre-installation planning, and site walk evaluations; install and interconnect solar systems to grid power. Mentor and train electricians on Sunrun best practices, troubleshoot electrical issues, complete panel upgrades when assigned, and coordinate with license holders and AHJ inspectors. Travel 10–30% as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely lead solar battery installations, including design review, pre-installation planning, and site walk evaluations, ensuring correct materials and electrical equipment per local and NEC code.
•Ensure successful installation of residential solar projects, including electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the customer’s grid power.
•Work with the branch team and homeowners to address system repairs needed to support solar equipment installation.
•Mentor and train others on electrical work and Sunrun established best practices, preparing team members for future roles.
•Serve as a subject matter expert on electrical and battery work by working cross-functionally with license holders, AHJ inspectors, and crew members; complete panel upgrades and troubleshooting when assigned.

Salary: USD 56.4 - 75.2

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum 4 years of electrical installation and repair experience, including at least 1 year installing home backup products.
•Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
•Maintain a valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements.
•Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a driving background check, and ability to drive company vehicles.
