Key Responsibilities

  • •Support engineering design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems.
  • •Verify building adherence to current fire codes and sustain operational integrity of fire life safety systems.
  • •Develop Alternate Means & Methods for local AHJs to meet intent of code under performance-based design criteria.
  • •Manage commissioning for fire life safety projects, from planning and risk assessments through post-commissioning monitoring and adjustments.
  • •Conduct routine inspections, audits, and testing of fire life safety systems (e.g., alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers) and resolve deficiencies proactively.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience in the design and construction of fire protection systems and/or fire protection consulting.
  • •Working knowledge of Building & Fire Codes and NFPA codes and standards.
  • •Degree in fire protection engineering.
  • •Professional Engineer License (P.E., passed the Principles of Engineering exam)
