Support the safe, efficient movement of petroleum coke and coal at the terminal by performing terminal operations under direction of the Shift Supervisor or Plant Coordinator. Operate heavy terminal equipment (wheel loaders, cranes, stacker/reclaimer, dozers, ship loaders, conveyors, and continuous barge unloader), follow safety rules and required training, complete daily inspections and equipment upkeep, and assist maintenance with minor repairs to ensure reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform terminal operations per standard operating procedures and federal, state, and local regulations under the Shift Supervisor or Plant Coordinator.
•Operate terminal equipment (wheel loaders, cranes, stacker/reclaimer, dozers, ship loaders, conveyor systems, and CBU).
•Observe all company safety rules and attend operations and safety training.
•Complete routine inspections and equipment upkeep, including daily inspection reports and tasks like greasing, fueling, and checking fluid levels.
•Assist the maintenance department with minor maintenance activities and other duties as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•Be able to follow directions, work as scheduled, pay close attention to details, and adhere to work rules.
•Operate equipment safely using physical and mental dexterity (controls pedals, levers, and buttons).
•Work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays), overtime/long hours when required, and meet physical demands (climb ladders/stairs; work at heights; carry up to 50 lbs; handle uneven surfaces).
•Pass required tests and clearances, including a drug screen and background check, and attain a TWIC credential.
