Key Responsibilities

  • •Grade and sort SPF and SYP softwood according to third-party TP/SPIB inspection requirements.
  • •Move, secure, stack, label, and bundle lumber products per predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • •Apply individual tags and use a staple gun; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • •Band, bundle, and secure material including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks; ensure quantities and labeling are correct before leaving the work area.
  • •Maintain accurate inventory of tags, record production on production sheets, and keep the work area clean and organized.

Key Requirements

  • •Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines while working under immediate supervision.
  • •High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
  • •Certification in lumber grading is preferred; non-certified graders may be considered if already in training and can be certified.
  • •No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
  • •Must be at least 18 years of age.
