Job Summary

Drive product regulatory compliance activities for industrial, medical, and personal care adhesive tapes, supporting Avery Dennison’s clients with REACH obligations. You’ll review and synthesize chemical supplier data (SDS) into client-ready Article Information Sheets (AIS), maintain verified compliance information in internal databases, and collaborate with Product Compliance mentors to turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, usable documentation. This internship starts 1 September and runs for 6 months with a flexible 3-days-per-week onsite/2-days-per-week work-from-home schedule.

•Review raw material and supplier chemical data for completeness and compliance.
•Map chemical supplier Safety Data Sheets against REACH guidelines to draft client-ready Article Information Sheets.

•Interact with Product Compliance mentors to turn regulatory frameworks into understandable, accessible data.
•Convert chemical substance information from SDS into clear AIS documentation with safety and compliance breakdowns.

Key Requirements

•Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or a closely related scientific discipline (valid enrollment for the full duration).
•Strong fundamental knowledge of Chemistry or Material Sciences, with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
•Ability to learn quickly and to take ownership of tasks while working independently with sound judgment.
•Excellent communication skills, confidence to ask questions to clarify complex scientific parameters, and full professional English (written and oral).
•Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office.
