Job Summary

Play a key role in the Conduct and Controls team by delivering first-line, risk-based quality assurance across insurance broking activities. Conduct structured file reviews for new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, assess compliance with FCA expectations and internal QA standards, identify conduct risks and control weaknesses, and escalate material findings. Use insights from QA to drive continuous improvement, support remediation tracking, and produce QA MI for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver first-line quality assurance through structured, risk-based file reviews across new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
•Assess technical broking activity, including placement rationale, disclosures, and customer communications/documentation, to ensure accuracy and good customer outcomes.
•Identify actual or foreseeable harm and escalate material findings, conduct concerns, and control weaknesses.
•Identify emerging themes, trends, and systemic issues from QA activity and highlight process improvement opportunities.
•Provide clear feedback and coaching to operational teams; support remediation tracking and produce QA MI/reporting for senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial, corporate, or technical insurance broking.
•Sound understanding of FCA regulatory expectations within an insurance broking/intermediary environment.
•Strong knowledge of ICOBS, Consumer Duty, vulnerable customer considerations, and fair value requirements.
•Experience undertaking QA file reviews, compliance monitoring, or operational control activities.
•Experience using Acturis (or a similar broking platform).
