Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment; use test instruments and apply sound judgment to identify problems and determine appropriate actions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation in a timely manner, and communicate with management/support to obtain approvals and purchase order numbers as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the required set of hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card (or ability to complete DOT physical) plus pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification and ability to obtain required DOT/FMCSA-regulated compliance; OEM training/certifications are preferred.
