Job Summary

Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, building and deepening financially complex relationships across banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance. Use personal financial planning and advisory expertise to meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals while leveraging Truist’s referral network for client acquisition. Maintain sales activity in the bank’s contact management system and partner with internal specialists to deliver integrated, compliant client service.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, selling and delivering retail banking products and services and providing ongoing personalized client service.
•Develop and maintain understanding of clients’ financial needs using personal financial planning analysis; partner with investment advisors on account objectives and asset allocation policies.
•Stay current on economic, legal, financial planning, and investment trends impacting mass affluent clients, and advise clients and their CPAs.
•Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, marketing new products, and maintaining sales pipeline and activity in the bank’s contact management system.
•Coordinate with internal specialists (Integrated Relationship Management/IRM partners) to provide an integrated and seamless approach to developing and servicing the client portfolio while ensuring compliance with audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
•5+ years of financial services experience working with clients in banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or 1 year in a financial client relationship manager role).
•Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning/advisory, insurance, and investment management concepts, including asset allocation and retail bank products for mass affluent clients.
•Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65 in lieu of 66), plus applicable Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses, with required timelines to obtain/transfer licenses.
•Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship management, and communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
•Strong written, verbal and presentation skills including demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
