Job Summary

Provide product knowledge and sales support for building materials, taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone. Build customer relationships, enter and complete sales orders using the company computer system, and handle cash sales. Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports while addressing customer objections. Partner with outside sales reps and sales managers to support effective sales strategies for the drywall and construction supplies industry.

Key Responsibilities

•Take sales orders at the sales counter and over the phone, using the company computer system to enter orders.
•Build relationships with customers and assist them with purchases through product knowledge.
•Complete sales orders and tender cash sales while quoting prices and discussing credit terms.
•Emphasize product and service features and benefits, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
•Collaborate with outside sales reps and sales managers to determine strategic sales approaches and overcome customer objections.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required; 4-year degree preferred.
