•First degree in a relevant specialism, particularly polymer and small molecule synthesis, plus normally a PhD (or equivalent qualifications).
•High level analytical capability and the ability to evaluate complex data.
•Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and present publications.
•Fluency in relevant models, techniques, or methods, including the ability to contribute to developing new ones.
•Experience in polymer synthesis and characterisation (with viruses/pathogens experience advantageous but not essential).
