Lead the evolution and scalability of the European Wise Platform’s financial crime compliance framework. Own standards for correspondent banking partner onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and controls that align with Belgian and European AML/CTF expectations. Serve as an expert advisor to first-line product and operations teams, defend risk appetite with partners and regulators, and provide coaching to strengthen the wider compliance organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the evolution and growth of the Wise Europe Platform compliance framework, including standards for partner onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
•Ensure the compliance framework remains aligned with industry standards and Belgian regulator expectations as Wise scales.
•Provide expert challenge and support to first-line product and operations teams to ensure control framework changes are effective.
•Act as a strategic advisor to the AMLCO and first-line teams on complex risk decisions, resolving friction points across the organization.
•Pre-empt compliance risks across platform products and integration types; develop mitigation plans and help design risk monitoring frameworks and KRIs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 10,800 - 14,700 monthly

Key Requirements

•7+ years of financial crime compliance experience with oversight for correspondent banking frameworks, BaaS, or complex platform products.
•Deep technical knowledge of Belgian and European AML/CTF regulations, including the ability to defend risk approaches to senior leadership or regulators.
•Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale change projects and drive alignment across multiple functions.
•Strong communication skills to distill complex data into clear, strategic narratives for executives and external stakeholders.
•Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, or related areas; additional certifications such as ACAMS or ICA are beneficial.
