Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform professional civil engineering work to research and inspect existing and proposed site conditions and resources to ensure conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
  • •Assist with site visits to coordinate inter-contract interface items and verify compliance.
  • •Support interface management protocols and collaborate with contractors, the Owner, and third parties to administer interface documents.
  • •Document interfaces using requirements management software (Helix or Doors) and support coordination for contractor compliance.
  • •Attend weekly meetings with design-build Interface Managers and participate in internal and external risk assessment exercises.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • •3 to 5 years of post-education engineering experience, with prior civil design experience; transit/tunnels and BART experience preferred.
  • •Engineer in Training Certification.
  • •Knowledge of civil engineering principles, process, and design/build permitting and project-related issues.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning/design and construction management, including rehabilitation and new design.
