Lead the technical delivery of evaluation and benefits management projects within the Transportation team, providing strategic oversight and ensuring high-quality deliverables using best-practice approaches (including the updated Magenta Book). Engage and advise public and private sector clients and represent AECOM at meetings and events. Drive business development through bids and proposals, collaborate across disciplines, and support recruitment, mentoring, and team development across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic leadership to help develop and execute initiatives to grow the evaluation and benefits management work area.
•Build and maintain relationships with key clients across public and private sectors, providing robust and proportionate strategic advice.
•Provide technical oversight for complex evaluation and benefits management project delivery, improving capability and deliverable quality.
•Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing bids and proposals and collaborating with other business lines on multidisciplinary projects.
•Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of the evaluation and benefits management team while promoting collaboration, innovation, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience working in the evaluation field.
•A higher degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
•Chartered Status or membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIHT, TPS, or UK Evaluation Society).
•Practical experience applying mixed methods in evaluation, including theory-based and experimental/quasi-experimental evaluation design for transport-related projects.
•Proven expertise designing and implementing Benefits Management, supported by strong analytical skills and leadership/team-management capabilities.
