Job Summary

Support the U.S. Coast Guard Data & AI Integration Team by building and sustaining shared data platforms, geospatial (GIS) services, and enterprise API frameworks within a Data & AI Governance environment. You’ll implement scalable data pipelines and automated workflows, enforce data governance and access controls, troubleshoot platform issues, and ensure compliance with federal security standards and DISA STIGs. Collaborate with product teams, developers, and data scientists, and maintain architecture and SOP documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, sustain, and optimize shared data platforms, infrastructure baselines, and analytical environments to support AI/ML and data science tools.
•Configure and manage enterprise API frameworks and geospatial (GIS) services to enable data integration across domains.
•Implement and maintain infrastructure data pipelines and automated workflows that transform raw data into operational intelligence.
•Enforce data governance protocols, system access controls, and infrastructure-level security requirements across analytical services.
•Troubleshoot and resolve system failures, platform bottlenecks, and configuration anomalies while ensuring compliance with federal security standards, government baselines, and DISA STIGs, and maintain architecture/SOP documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 94,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

•DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
•6–9 years of experience (or commensurate experience) in systems engineering focused on database infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise software systems.
•Experience implementing or maintaining big data systems, automated ETL/ELT pipelines, or enterprise API connections.
•Strong operational knowledge of system lifecycle management, infrastructure engineering, and configuration management baselines.
•Proficiency using enterprise tools to track engineering tasks and configuration dependencies (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow), plus foundational knowledge of virtualization, Linux/Windows, cloud storage, and network boundaries.
