Job Summary

Lead the Melt Technology team in Bakers Operations to drive titanium melting process compliance and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop a process engineering team, make staffing and resource decisions, and guide technical execution. Provide expert technical guidance to operators and cross-functional stakeholders, support melt process qualifications, and transfer best practices across melting facilities and adjacent business units. Collaborate with technical leadership to translate functional strategy into tactical execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, mentor, and develop a process engineering team, including hiring and resource assignment to drive performance and succession.
•Provide expert technical guidance to teammates and external audiences from operators to functional leadership and customers.
•Drive technical advancement and continuous improvement, including melt process qualifications, within the group.
•Support best-practice transfer within SM melt facilities and across adjacent BU melt facilities.
•Collaborate with technical leadership to translate functional organizational strategy into tactical definition.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
•6-year minimum experience in metallurgical processing of Ni or Ti based alloys.
•MS or PhD degree.
•Experience in technical or operations leadership (plus).
•Understanding of statistical process control, continuous improvement methodologies, and problem-solving approaches via the scientific method.
