Key Responsibilities

  • •Embed with product and engineering to review features, integrations, and launches before they ship, delivering calibrated go/no-go risk decisions.
  • •Handle privacy and AI issues inside the product, including consent/disclosure mechanics and end-to-end opt-out and deletion controls.
  • •Own product-facing terms such as feature and beta terms, program terms, user communications during changes or sunsets, and help update Terms of Service.
  • •Run AI compliance mechanics by mapping EU AI Act transparency/content-marking duties against the product roadmap and supporting model provider negotiations.
  • •Answer consumer and platform questions at scale and back up commercial answers in enterprise deals when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree plus qualification in a major jurisdiction (EU member state, UK, or US), with 3 to 6 years of practice.
  • •Counseled product or technology teams at or for a consumer-facing technology or SaaS company (in-house or through secondment).
  • •Experience clearing products used by millions under real deadlines, with strong risk-call judgment.
  • •Applied GDPR inside a live product (consent, data use, deletion) and handled real AI legal questions (training data, provider terms, transparency duties).
  • •Comfort drafting terms that hold against consumer scale, including consumer protection and intermediary liability.
