Key Responsibilities

•Lead negotiation of high-value, complex pre-M&A contracts and multi-party agreements across the client portfolio.
•Own and independently manage key client relationships with investment fund and asset manager clients.
•Manage external counsel instructions and supervision across relevant matters.
•Drive continuous improvement of the legal technology suite, including identifying, piloting, and embedding new capabilities in Carta Ava.
•Mentor and develop E4 Contract Lawyers and senior paralegals, reviewing work and providing structured feedback.

Key Requirements

•Licensed to practise law in the UK, Europe, US, or Canada, with 5+ PQE.
•Independent track record leading complex pre-M&A negotiations, including cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters.
•Ability to build and sustain trusted advisor status with sophisticated financial services clients and engage senior stakeholders.
•Expert user of Carta Ava, HighQ, and CLM/e-signature platforms, driving AI/legal tech adoption.
•Experience mentoring and developing junior lawyers and paralegals with structured feedback.
