Job Summary

Design, manage, and troubleshoot large-scale enterprise networking infrastructure for BMC’s IS&T team. Own network availability and performance while resolving complex incidents and tickets, using change and incident management processes. Collaborate with global teams to support network initiatives and documentation/audits. Spend 10–20% of time on-site on data center operations such as hardware lifecycle, cabling, installs, RMAs, and capacity/power checks.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
•Ensure high availability and performance of network infrastructure.
•Support and resolve complex network issues and tickets with timely service.
•Facilitate process improvements using change and incident management tools.
•Perform on-site data center operations including hardware lifecycle, installations, break/fix, RMAs, and capacity/power audits.

Salary: USD 78,750 - 131,250 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a software-related field or equivalent IT experience.
•3-5 years of experience in a Network Engineer or Data Center Specialist role.
•Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, routing fundamentals, and DNS/DHCP administration.
•Experience managing Aruba Wi‑Fi environments and knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM and SSL certificate management.
•Exposure to data center infrastructure (power and cooling, rack and stack, structured cabling) and ability to be on call/rotational shifts in a hybrid Austin role.
