Job Summary

Cost Manager responsible for cost management and estimating within a UK healthcare-focused programme delivery, using NRM1/2 to produce accurate cost estimates and elemental cost plans for major hospital projects. You will collaborate across pre/post contract, data, tools and risk teams, drive cost assurance, and support governance, reporting, and continuous cost improvement in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead cost management and estimating activities across the programme, ensuring consistency and accuracy of cost estimates and cost plans.
•Provide cost management outputs and reporting to support commercial decision-making and governance for capital building projects.
•Collaborate with Precontract, Post Contract, Data, Tools & Policies, and Risk teams to maintain cost assurance and resolve commercial matters.
•Develop and maintain client tools and processes for cost management, aligning with client governance and performance metrics.
•Engage with Trusts, Cost Consultants, and Contractors to build robust cost management and reporting frameworks and drive cost predictability.

Key Requirements

•Experience using NRM1/2 across projects of different scale.
•Relevant technical qualification with demonstrable track record in delivering major projects and programmes of significant value and complexity
•Strong client-focused approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
•Working towards or holding an applicable professional qualification
•Experience in construction consultancy, healthcare/life science projects, or digital software for project management is advantageous
