•Perform essential duties of the Business Operations Associate as needed.
•Participate in the “Manager on Duty” role: delegate and direct Business Office workflow, answer transaction questions, and follow up on tasks.
•Lead and/or participate in weekly leadership calibration discussions (LAB meetings) and develop plans for observing associate performance and addressing developmental needs.
•Mentor, coach, and develop associates in the Business Office to improve performance and grow next-level talent.
•Serve as a functional expert for state-specific and CarMax process knowledge, provide iconic customer service, reconcile critical accounting/compliance functions, assess risk in Asset Protection reviews, and approve cash-handling procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 21.2 - 33.9 hourly

•Serve as a peer leader/mentor to Business Operations Associates while delegating and following up on assigned work.
•Complete CarMax training and support cross-training/coverage of the Business Office.
•Model effective interactions with associates, customers, and vendors; resolve customer and associate concerns using independent, sound judgment.
•Maintain accurate records by reading, interpreting, and transcribing data; understand and use a numeric filing system.
•Use word processing, spreadsheet, and other programs with intermediate PC skills; multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet physical demands of lifting 15–20 lbs.
