Job Summary

Operate SBM machine processing systems to meet daily production requirements while following process guidelines. Partner with the shift team and maintenance staff to resolve mechanical issues, maximize output, and maintain product quality to customer specifications. Review daily performance against efficiency goals and uphold housekeeping, safety, and Food Safety Program (GMP) standards. Complete required daily PM paperwork and follow safe startup/shutdown, purging, and burn-out procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate SBM machine processing systems within appropriate process guidelines and meet daily production requirements.
•Work with the shift team to maximize production requirements and support department efficiency goals.
•Ensure product quality meets customer specifications by monitoring process and identifying quality problems.
•Maintain safety and housekeeping standards as an example, and communicate deviations or safety concerns to management.
•Maintain the Food Safety Program (GMP) and coordinate with maintenance staff to correct mechanical issues.

Key Requirements

•Verify quality of finished product by measure/visual inspection against the control plan and react to problems.
•Demonstrate working knowledge of dryers and respond to out-of-control conditions.
•Follow proper safety procedures (including LOTO and safety latch door procedures) and use required PPE.
•Demonstrate daily PM compliance, including completing all required paperwork, and follow purging and burn-out procedures.
•Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and correct daily processing problems (e.g., bubbles, strings, contamination, holes) and respond to equipment/process out-of-control situations.
