Key Responsibilities

  • •Own purchasing functions for procurement of goods and/or raw materials, including source selection, negotiations, order placement, and follow-up.
  • •Negotiate prices and lead times with vendors not covered by corporate contracts, and resolve supplier quotation conflicts.
  • •Review drawings and specifications to estimate material quantities/types and determine the best source of procurement.
  • •Plan and place material purchase orders to align material flow with customer demand/company plan (MPS/MRP) using schedules, consignment stock, kanban, and other order systems.
  • •Monitor and improve supplier delivery performance, expedite orders as needed, and support continuous improvement (including Lean and 5S).

  • •Experience of casting and machining, including managing subcontract machine shops.
