Job Summary

Lead the Defined Contribution Retirement practice for NFP Canada, owning client retention, satisfaction, and growth. You’ll act as a subject matter expert, guide a team of Consultants and Account Managers, and handle complex or escalated client situations. Partner with internal service and operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience, while supporting strategic business development, governance best practices, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze and interpret the Group Retirement division’s strategic direction to develop initiatives aligned to long-term growth.
•Provide subject matter leadership for deliverables and guidance to team members to meet NFP standards.
•Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders and carrier representatives.
•Lead complex or escalated client issues and provide direction to junior team members as needed.
•Support strategic business development and corporate planning, including knowledge sharing and process improvements across the practice.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 140,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•College or university graduate, or equivalent business experience.
•Valid LLQP, required to obtain within one year if not already in place.
•Completion of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (RPA) designation is an asset.
•Typically five years of experience in the group retirement insurance industry, preferably in customer service or account management.
•Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in group plan investment options (pensions, RRSPs, DPSPs, TFSAs).
