Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, test, and tune SIEM detection rules mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, prioritized by threat intelligence and business risk.
  • •Write detection logic across SIEM and data lake platforms and manage detection-as-code via Git-based workflows, PR reviews, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • •Investigate and suppress false positives using lookup-based architectures and operate a branch → validate → deploy detection workflow.
  • •Collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting teams through structured handover processes (TI→TH→DE) and monitor emerging threats to develop detections for new TTPs, CVEs, and active campaigns.
  • •Use AI-augmented detection with AI agents/LLM-assisted workflows (including MCP tooling) to accelerate detection rule development, validation, and coverage analysis while improving alert fidelity.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 165,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a technical/IT field or 5+ years of relevant experience in detection engineering, security operations, or threat detection.
  • •Write and tune SIEM detection rules/analytics for real-time alerts and scheduled queries.
  • •Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and how to apply it to detection coverage.
  • •Proficiency in Python and experience managing detection content with Git-based workflows, PR reviews, and CI/CD.
  • •Familiarity with security log sources (EDR, identity, cloud, network, proxy) and strong analytical skills to distinguish true threats from noise.
