Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the pre-opening HR master plan, countdown schedules, critical path activities, and HR budgeting (operating, pre-opening payroll, manning guide, and benefits strategy).
  • •Set up HR operating procedures including SOPs, employee handbook policies, and HR systems (HRIS and time & attendance) aligned with corporate and local standards.
  • •Own recruitment strategy for luxury hospitality talent, including career fairs and digital sourcing, and manage pre-employment processes (background checks, medical clearances, and offers).
  • •Oversee PRO and government relations to manage work visas, residency permits, Bahrain Labour Law compliance, LMRA processes, and Bahrainisation quotas.
  • •Lead learning, development, and culture: onboarding/orientation, brand immersion and pre-opening simulation training, and employee relations including compensation/benefits, grievance and disciplinary frameworks, performance appraisals, and engagement initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification such as CIPD or SHRM strongly preferred).
  • •Minimum 5 years as Director of HR in a 5-star luxury international hotel chain.
  • •Proven pre-opening experience in at least one luxury hotel project.
  • •Strong capability in manning guide creation and labor cost modeling.
  • •Business fluency in English; spoken and written Arabic strongly preferred.
