Job Summary

Perform maintenance and installation for plant manufacturing equipment with a focus on electrical and control systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime, calibrate instrumentation and controllers, and wire/unwire motors. Work safely in a manufacturing environment, update predictive/preventive maintenance processes and PM programs, and support reliability efforts while training other mechanics and apprentices as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect and maintain electrical equipment (fuses, power panels, motor starters/controls, inverters, variable frequency drives) using electrical test equipment.
•Troubleshoot equipment problems with a team to minimize downtime and monitor equipment operation for issues.
•Calibrate relays, flow controllers, salt probes, level controllers, scales, temperature controllers, and related instrumentation.
•Requisition and maintain replacement parts and electronic equipment (PLCs, input/output consoles, sensors, relays) per electrical standards.
•Support preventative/predictive maintenance by updating PM programs/work orders, maintaining time confirmations, and assisting reliability efforts.

Key Requirements

•HS Diploma or GED and 3 to 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience, or an Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or Electronic Technology with 2 years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
•Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00p) on a fixed 8-hour schedule and be available for overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
•Demonstrate aptitude for electrical and mechanical maintenance through aptitude testing, observation, hands-on evaluation, and verbal and/or written tests.
•Ability to identify issues, determine needed repairs, and prioritize tasks.
•Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic AC/DC and electrical wiring skills.
