Key Responsibilities

•Develop highway designs for a diverse range of sectors, clients and projects through all stages of the project life cycle.
•Coordinate engineering resources to deliver work packages for our clients.
•Check, certify and authorise issue designs, documents, approvals, and reports.
•Being responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
•Work collaboratively with clients, key stakeholders and internal teams to deliver schemes on time and to specification.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant discipline; working toward IEng/CEng status is desirable.
•Knowledge of highway design at various stages, including road geometry, roundabouts, at-grade and grade separated junctions, inclusive active travel, highway drainage, road restraint systems, traffic signs and road markings.
•Familiarity with design codes such as the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, TSRGD, Local Authority design guidance; ability to prepare drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals.
•Strong coordination skills to manage design teams, budgets and schedules and to coordinate engineering resources to deliver work packages.
•Proactive, collaborative approach with ability to mentor junior staff and support professional qualifications.
