Job Summary

Develop and support insurance pricing and/or reserving frameworks at Ally Insurance by independently leading projects from start to finish. Use advanced analytics to brainstorm, build predictive models, and generate rate/reserve indications and segmentation analyses. Partner with product development and collaborate across teams, communicating results clearly to management and senior leadership. Contribute to innovation and may train or mentor an entry-level actuarial analyst.

•Support a robust insurance pricing and/or reserving framework using standard actuarial techniques and advanced modeling.
•Independently lead projects from start to finish, including brainstorming and executing advanced analytics.
•Develop and communicate rate and/or reserve indications, segmentation analyses, and predictive models to management and senior leadership.
•Collaborate with product development and pricing/reserving processes.
•Train, mentor, and/or develop one entry-level actuarial analyst, including performance management as needed.

Key Requirements

•ACAS or near ACAS preferred; 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams required.
•4+ years of experience in actuarial roles, with exposure to advanced ratemaking and/or reserving preferred.

•Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
•Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with high problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
