Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct GCIO risk management accountability for Asia CIOs within HSBC’s GCIO Chief Control Office.
  • •Lead a team of CCOs and drive integrated risk management across Markets and the business, including cultural change.
  • •Serve as a primary point of contact across key Asia CIOs for risk and control matters, including executive updates to Market ExCO and boards.
  • •Oversee functional risk and controls, including targeted control assessments, setting the regional control assurance plan, and approving remediation prioritisation.
  • •Manage external and internal governance activities: regulatory horizon scanning, end-to-end regulatory inspections, and driving resolution of risk and audit actions through partnering with 1LOD/GCIO teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead risk and control management within GCIO CCO, supporting Asia CIOs and ensuring accountability for GCIO risk management.
  • •Provide operational risk and control expertise, including implementation and oversight of the Group’s Risk Management Framework and governance activities.
  • •Manage end-to-end regulatory inspections pertaining to technology, cyber and data risk management.
  • •Ensure CIO teams implement local technology risk policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting adoption of new or changed regulations.
  • •Lead and develop a team of control managers/senior control managers to deliver risk assessments, control environment reviews, and issues management discipline.
