Key Responsibilities

•Ensure safe operation of equipment and machinery, safe tool use, and safety of others in the immediate area.
•Assist with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment including motors, pumps, gearboxes, and blowers/fans.
•Resolve equipment malfunctions by identifying root cause and taking actions to prevent recurring failures.
•Assist with installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechanical equipment, piping systems, and electrical controls/components per manufacturer specs, local regulations, and safety policies.
•Perform visual and basic preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment (e.g., pumps, wrap machines, dock doors/locks/levelers) and coordinate with supervisors to minimize downtime.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience or training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years’ direct experience.
•Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair (preferred).
•Vocational/technical diploma or an associate’s degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (a plus).
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, or scissor lift.
•Ability to read and write work orders, instructions, daily reports, and machine manuals; follow oral and written instructions.
