Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage tender review and contract preparation activities, including analyzing proposed terms and conditions and monitoring agreements.
  • •Implement strong administration of subcontractors using company procedures and participate in contractual meetings with the client/consultant.
  • •Provide guidance for extension of time and other claims, and conclude claims successfully; improve inclusion of company claim-management processes using templates.
  • •Develop contract standards (budget, payment terms, language, provisions) and reduce areas of potential risk to the company by improving contract/subcontract soundness.
  • •Improve commercial-team awareness of contractual risk areas, support backcharge/contra-claim collection, and close out subcontract final accounts within two months of completion.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 8 years working experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
  • •Demonstrated contract and tender knowledge across contract conditions, with comprehensive FIDIC contract knowledge.
  • •Thorough working knowledge of Qatar Construction Standards.
  • •Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • •ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, and relevant professional education/certification (Civil Engineering degree; FIDIC certification or CIOB/RICS membership).
