Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert cost advice and maintain commercial control across a portfolio of construction, refurbishment, facilities management, and property maintenance work.
  • •Support preparation of work proposals and tenders, manage commercial risk, supplier performance, payments, and final accounts.
  • •Attend risk meetings, review risk registers, guide contract requirements, and support resolution and avoidance of disputes.
  • •Assist with change management under the FDIS contract and carry out Billable Works adjudications within delegated authority.
  • •Contribute to monthly cost reporting and wider commercial risk management, supporting sustainability initiatives and reduction of carbon/utility consumption.

Key Requirements

  • •At least four years’ experience within the FM or construction sector, or three years with specific MOD experience across major projects or multiple concurrent projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of commercial processes including cost models, commercial risk management, and preparation of work proposals and tenders.
  • •Experience supporting dispute resolution and maintaining commercial control across a varied construction/property maintenance portfolio.
  • •Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or significant equivalent experience) with strong analytical and IT capability.
  • •Ability to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with operational teams, customers, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
