Job Summary

Technical Communication Engineer II will translate complex EDA concepts into clear product documentation, collaborating with R&D, product engineering, customer support, and product management teams. You’ll author structured content, adhere to Cadence writing standards, and develop reusable content with taxonomy. You’ll use tools like Wiki, SnagIT, video tools (Captivate/Camtasia) and Photoshop, coordinate across geographies, review UI messages, and create collateral such as feature videos and blogs to support product releases.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand EDA principles and related concepts; perform research and translate technical information into usable product documents for Cadence customers.
•Collaborate with development (R&D), product engineering, customer support, and product management to document new and enhanced software features aligned with release schedules.
•Adhere to Cadence writing standards; develop topic-based content, apply content taxonomy, and reuse strategies.
•Use technical communications tools for authoring (Wiki), screen capture/recording (SnagIT), video development (Captivate, Camtasia), and graphic design (Photoshop).
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams across geographies; contribute to the documentation lifecycle and improve product quality by reviewing product messages and UI; develop collateral such as feature videos and blogs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably computer science or electronics engineering).
•3-4 years of experience in a technical communications or instructional design role, preferably in EDA, semiconductor industry, or other technical domains.
•Strong technical background with impeccable written and verbal communication skills and ability to ramp up on new technologies quickly.
•Experience documenting complex software features and aligning with release schedules, using topic-based content and content taxonomy.
•Proficiency with technical communications tools such as Wiki, screen capture/recording (SnagIT), video development (Captivate, Camtasia), and graphic design (Photoshop).
