Key Responsibilities

  • •Design portions of writing system solutions, including printheads, pens, ink delivery components, fluid delivery subsystems, interconnects, electronics, firmware interfaces, and mechanical interfaces.
  • •Define and support writing system architecture requirements, performance specifications, and validation criteria for industrial printing products.
  • •Develop and execute parameters, experiments, and test plans to characterize print quality, jetting reliability, ink delivery behavior, environmental robustness, durability, and long-term system reliability.
  • •Conduct root cause analysis for system-level, manufacturing, supplier, and customer-reported issues, and implement corrective actions with thorough procedural records and data logs.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support design reviews, risk assessments, qualification testing, manufacturing readiness, production ramp, and engineering change requests.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • •Typically 2–4 years of work experience in product development, printing systems, fluidics, electromechanical systems, electronic hardware, test development, or data analysis.
  • •Experience with experimental design, test planning, DOE, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • •Ability to perform root cause analysis, debugging, corrective actions, and issue resolution while maintaining thorough records.
  • •Programming/data analysis proficiency including Python and at least one tool such as MATLAB, JMP, or Minitab.
