Job Summary

Support electrical substation engineering projects by producing precise CADD drawings and specifications for power and energy infrastructure. Assist with design details for foundations, steel structures, and equipment supports while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements. Verify drawing accuracy, dimensions, quantities, and revisions; coordinate with structural, electrical, and civil teams; and prepare multiple design versions for engineer review.

Key Responsibilities

•Use CADD to assist with basic substation design details and prepare high-precision drawings.
•Provide technical design assistance for substation foundations, steel structures, and equipment supports while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
•Verify drawing accuracy, dimensions, material quantities, design revisions, change orders, and interpretation of contract plans/specifications.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (structural, electrical, and civil) and with engineers-in-charge on assigned tasks.
•Prepare multiple versions of substation designs for engineer review and complete assigned training.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience with substation or utility infrastructure drafting.
•Demonstrated experience supporting substation drafting scope on utility or power infrastructure projects.
•Familiarity with drafting and design support principles and methods, including relevant codes, regulations, and compliance/record-keeping.
•Familiarity with computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD.
